This is the biggest question of aspiring coaches. To be honest, a career transition coach has no fixed monthly salary since they get paid only when they have a client. A coach is like a freelancer who only gets paid when they provide services and doesn’t have any monthly retainer fees.

Since they charge hourly rates, I will talk about how much their hourly rate is. Sadly, there are no in-depth statistics about the rates of a career change coach. Because of this, I have based the rates on the fees of general career coaches.

Based on the rates of 50 career coaches from Canada, US, and the UK, the average hourly rate of a career coach is $207 per hour. Some coaches charge as low as $75 and as high as $497.

Keep in mind that the rates may vary depending on the type of service the coach offers. It will also depend on their location. Coaches in bigger cities charge higher than the ones in smaller towns. Their credentials and reputation will also have an impact on their rates.
