Motivation – Why we do what we do?

When it’s about motivation there is no way around Anthony Robbins. In his Ted Talk, he speaks about our needs and what gives us real fulfillment. Listening to Tony Robbins gives me a lot of motivation and I hope it does the same for you.

The puzzle of motivation

A great Ted Talk about what motivates us. This is an important question for us and also for the companies that employ people.

Also, Daniel H. Pink’s book is a great read about what motivates us.

Rich Roll Podcast & Blog

Can you imagine you are over 50 and you are doing 5 ironman-distance triathlons in one week? The story, blog, and podcasts of Rich Roll were highly motivating for me.

In 2012, Rich became a #1 bestselling author with the publication of his inspirational memoir Finding Ultra: Rejecting Middle Age, Becoming One of the World’s Fittest Men, and Discovering Myself. Taking up where the book leaves off, Rich launched the wildly popular Rich Roll Podcast in 2013, which persistently sits atop the iTunes top-10 lists.

In May 2010, Rich and his ultra-colleague Jason Lester accomplished an unprecedented feat of staggering endurance many said was not possible. Something they call the EPIC5 CHALLENGE- an odyssey that entailed completing 5 ironman-distance triathlons on 5 islands of Hawaii in under a week.
